Nice shot! The flower has real presence and the graduation of brown to yellow looks neat with that faded look.
I like your choice of color treatment also!

these used to be my favorite flower in the world. How nice this shot is!
Vision. That’s the word that came to mind as I viewed this image. YOU had the creative vision to process this in a manner that would capture our attention and set this sunflower apart from the normal sunflower.
The desaturation works a treat here, a very original approach, it isn’t what first comes to mind with sunflowers.
