Boardwalk

September 25, 2008

This is the walk I meant to take yesterday - the boardwalk at Mer Bleue Bog in Ottawa. After leaving the spot from which I took this shot I walked further down the boardwalk and turned around. At exactly the spot I had been standing was a heron perched on the railing. It would have been a fantastic shot if my lens had been a little longer!

I would soooo enjoy taking that walk. Sigh. You have captured it so beautifully. What are the grasses on either side of the boardwalk? They look interesting. I’m loving your nature work!

Sue, the plants are cattails. It’s not apparent in this shot, but this part of the boardwalk is over water. Thanks so much for the comment!

These are all terrific shots, too bad Hamish couldn’t go on this walk, I can imagine him jumping in for a quick dip! Have you done any hdr processing on this one, it has a little bit of that look via the bridge somehow?

Lisa: Thanks. This one is just tweaked a bit in LR, no HDR processing. It does look a bit like HDR though…

I can’t believe how much fall color you have already!

    Lovely path for a walk!

Anytime I see a great path I have to capture it!
