Get Out the Vote!

October 6, 2008

Today I cast my vote in the 2008 United States Presidential Election. Regardless of how long American citizens have lived outside they country, we are generally eligible to vote in the last state in which we resided. However, deadlines are fast approaching to request an absentee ballot in many states. If you have friends or family living or traveling overseas, please take a minute to remind them to request their absentee ballot via the on-line request form available at VoteFromAbroad.org. With as many as 8 states running very close races (see map HERE) , each and every vote matters. A lot.

Great reminder, Julie. I think we are going to take advantage of the “early vote” option because we possibly will be in the middle of a move and don’t want to miss out on our opportunity to vote.

I can’t vote as an Foreign National – Thank god – This way I can say “I told you so” and “I did’nt vote for them” to everyone. He he he!

Good for you getting out the vote! We may be joining you in Canada depending on how things turn out here. I know this is a photography blog so I won’t mention any names but since you all know I’m an old hippie I think you know who I’m for.
