Great photo in honor of the day. It's very effective - especially since most know what the folded flag represents. Great image!

What a great image to honor Veterans Day Julie. I have my Dad's flag also. Its serves as a good reminder of the kind of man he was, and the kind of men he would befriend.

Thank you, Sue. Your father must be very proud to have started what must be a very poignant flag ceremony. Does he continue to attend?

Beautiful image, Julie. Just perfect.

In my hometown, the flags of veterans are gathered by the VFW and American Legion and flown on Memorial Day in the cemetery. My father began that tradition many years ago, in honor of the veterans. What started with just raising a hand full of flags has grown to a massive undertaking; raising and lowering the hundreds of flag poles and flags. It makes for a beautiful, and touching, sight.
