The Games We Play

A dangerous game, basketball. I spent six hours in the emergency room this week with my son after he fell on the playground playing basketball. Not a serious injury but a surprising amount of loose gravel from the blacktop had to be tweezered and scrubbed out of his knee and palms.

Oh no, how worrying! Hope James is ok now. I just saw your lines shot in the Village and really liked it, this one is great too, the processing suits it perfectly.

  2. poor little guy! Basketball is dangerous…totally.

Ouch! No fun. Hope he’s recovering well.

Nice post work on the photograph, by the way.

Boys and Emergency Rooms seem to go hand in hand unfortunately. I can imagine all the loose gravel that needed to be removed.

Love the processing on this one; composition as well.

Poor lil guy…I can’t imagine having to get all of the gravel out of the knees and palms…makes me queasy just thinking about it. I used to play basketball but it was all indoor in the gymnasium at school. I had jammed fingers…fingernail scratches and was bumped in the head and mouth many of times…funny how you think it isn’t a dangerous sport but you do get injuries in that game!

As for the photo – I loooove how you composed it, how the lighting looks and the DOF!
