What Webs We Weave

I couldn’t believe the array of spiderwebs I found on the boardwalk at Mer Bleue last week. Every shape and size imaginable…

And covering nearly every type of vegetation…

Mer Bleue

Another couple shots from the Mer Bleue Bog. Sue asked about the grasses in yesterday’s shot. This first shot shows the water beneath the boardwalk bridge and the plants at the edge. I think they are cattails but not sure.

These plants I can’t identify either except that the tree is, I believe, a tamarack.

Boardwalk

This is the walk I meant to take yesterday - the boardwalk at Mer Bleue Bog in Ottawa. After leaving the spot from which I took this shot I walked further down the boardwalk and turned around. At exactly the spot I had been standing was a heron perched on the railing. It would have been a fantastic shot if my lens had been a little longer!
